We take security seriously and use encrypted SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology. Every aspect of our web site and your online meeting with our Notary is encrypted by SHA 256 bit/RSA encryption which generates a unique key for every session.
Using the Notarize platform, every signature – not just the final document – is cryptographically sealed with the legal evidence embedded in the notarized document.
We do not store/save any credit card information within our systems. Our transactions are secured and encrypted to and from the Notarize payment gateway system.
In April 2020, the State of Washington passed groundbreaking legislation that authorizes Washington Notaries to legally notarize any signature, regardless of location, using Video-Audio technology.
All our Notaries are licensed by the State of Washington and are official representatives of the State. The State of Washington has given its licensed Notaries authority to perform notarization services within the State of Washington and online, to clients in other states.
In addition, the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the US Constitution requires each state respect the “public acts, records, and judicial proceedings of every other state.” Every state has also passed laws that recognize notarial acts taken in other states.
Clients have full access to their documents and information, including the ability to view, download, and archive previously notarized documents. All users are required to use strong passwords on their accounts. To comply with Washington legislation, all notarized transactions are recorded (audio and video) and retained for 10 (ten) years.
